Functional mechanism of abamectin
Abamectin, which is a kind of new-type macrolides insecticidal antibiotics that generated by streptomycete, belongs to the broad-spectrum insecticidal acaricide and has contact action and stomach action to pests and mites, besides, it has osmosis effect on the crops but has no ovicidal action; it has slow effect on killing the pests, which mainly obstructs the neural physiological activities of pests that will die in 2-3 days after eating the medicine; it has long lasting period, of which the effect can last 10-15 days for Lepidoptera pests and 30-45 days for the mites; abamectin miticide is a kind of bacterial metabolism discharge, which can degrade fast and photolysis rapidly in the soil as well as has good environmental compatibility; it is safe for the crops and will not have phytotoxicity on the crops.
The application of abamectin on vegetable production
a. It can be used in preventing cabbage caterpillar. Start preventing in the period when every crop has one pest by evenly spraying 1.8 percents of abamectin EC with 2500-3000 times liquid.
b. It can be used in preventing diamond back moth. In the young larvae stage or egg hatching stage of the pests, spraying evenly with 1.8 percents of abamectin EC in 2500-3000 times liquid.
c. It can be used in preventing liriomyza sativae. In the young larvae stage when most of the pests damaged length are below 2cm, spraying evenly with 1.8 percents of abamectin EC in 2000-2500 times liquid or 1 percent of abamectin EC in 2000 times liquid in the morning or evening.
d. It can be used in preventing beet armyworm. Spraying with 1.8 percents of abamectin EC in 1000 times liquid, of which the control effect can still keep more than 90 percents after 7-10 days.
e. It can be used in preventing red spider, spider mite, polyphagotarsonemus latus and other mites as well as various aphids. Spraying evenly with 1.8 percents of abmectin EC in 4000-4500 times liquid in the early stage of insect.
f. It can be used in preventing root-knot nematode and bradysia odoriphaga and other soil insects. When preventing bradysia odoriphaga, use 1.8 percents of abamectin EC 0.8-1.2g per square meter or 1 percent of abamectin EC 2.25g and mix them in the plastic cask (basin) by adding a certain amount of water, which will be slowly poured into the irrigation water and infused into the root of Chinese chives along with water; when preventing root-knot nematode, spraying with 1.8 percents of abamectin EC 1.0-1.5g on the furrow, hole or soil surface before planting or irrigate the root of onset vegetable that has long growing period with 1.8 percents of abamectin EC in 1000-1500 times liquid 0.25l for each crop after planting.
Notes of abamectin
Abamectin insecticide has slow effect on killing the pests and mites, the pests will only be largely killed in 3 days after the pesticide application. However, the pests and mites will stop feeding and doing harm on the day when the pesticide is applied; it has no systemic action, which should be sprayed evenly, meticulously and thoroughly; it should be sprayed in the cloudy day or in the evening instead of spraying it under the sun, besides, masks and other protection measures are needed when spraying; it can be used in the green food production: use it one time on each season crop with the intervals of 7 days; it cannot be mixed with alkaline pesticide; it has high toxic to fish, which should be prohibited polluting ponds and river, besides, it is also forbidden to use in the period when bees gather honey.
What kind of pesticides that cannot be mixed with abamectin
Abamectin pesticide is a kind of biopesticide that can be mixed with various insecticides or added with a little washing powder, thus it can easily wet the fungus powder and improve the adhesive force and pesticide effect. It cannot mix with bactericide, this is because the biopesticides mostly belong to the fungus which will be killed by the bactericide after mixing with it and lose its effect. It cannot mix with alkaline pesticide, as the fungus of the biopesticide mostly lives under acid environment which will be damaged when mixing with alkaline pesticide, thus the fungus will become inactive and lose its effect.
